Assyrian people
Assyrians (aysors) are the people originating from the ancient population of the Western Asia.
Language
The Assyrians speak the Assyrian (New Syrian) language (the Semitic branch of the Afrasian family). Georgian, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Arabian, Farsi and other languages are also widespread among them. In Russia, the Russian language is native for most Assyrians.
Dispersion
Their largest communities are in the Krasnodar territory, the Rostov region and Moscow.
