Pashtuns (Afghans)
The Pashtuns are an Iranian people populating mostly the southeast, south and southwest of Afghanistan and the northwest of Pakistan.
Language
They speak the Pashto language (the Iranian branch of the Indo-European family) which, together with the Dari language, is the state language of Afghanistan. It is represented by two main dialects: the northern one and the southern one.
