Uyghurs
The Uyghurs are a native people of the Eastern Turkestan, which is currently the Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous district of the PRC.
Language
Besides the Uyghur or New Uyghur language, Russian, Kazakh, Uzbek, Kyrgyz and Chinese languages are also widespread, depending on the place of residence of any particular group.
Traditional occupations
The traditional occupations are trade, agriculture, crafts, distant pasture cattle breeding, fishing and hunting.
