The Romanians are a people which constitute the majority of the population of Romania.

The Romanian language (sometimes called Dacian-Romanian, previously also Valachian, Valachian-Moldavian language) is one of the Romanian languages, the native language of the Romanians. The Romanian language belongs by type to the Balkanian-Romanian subgroup of the Eastern Romanian group of the Indo-European language family.
