The Rusyns are a group of the Eastern Slavic population.
Language
There are four versions of the Rusyn language,
provisionally called Lemko (in Poland), Pryashev (in Slovakia), Uzhgorod (in
Ukraine) and Voyevodina (in Serbia). Each of the versions is under a strong
influence of the language of the neighboring Slavic majority. As for the
non-Slavic vocabulary elements, the share of the borrowings from the Hungarian
language is especially large.
