The Central Asian Jews (Bukharan Jews, Bukhori,
Isroil or Yahudi) are an ethnoconfessional and ethnolinguistical subgroup of
the Jewish diaspora.
Language
The traditional speaking language called
Bukharan constitutes a Bukharan-Jewish version of a Samarkand-Bukharan dialect
of Farsi or a Jewish dialect of the Tajik language. Other languages are Uzbek,
Russian and Hebrew.
Traditional occupations
Wool and fabric dyeing, small trade.
