Irkutsk
Irkutsk is the administrative center of the Irkutsk region. During the Great Patriotic War, the Irkutsk region uninterruptedly supplied the front with weapons, equipment, and basic necessities. Only several dozen hospitals were located in the regional center. Hundreds of the Soviet soldiers and officers underwent treatment here and returned to duty.
