More than 200 kilometers of lines have been laid in Moscow and over 100 metro stations have been opened in just 20 years. This is comparable to the number of built from 1955 to 2000, in the previous 45 years. The construction of the grandiose project - the Big Circle Line - continues.
The important event in the life of the city was the launch in 2016 of the Moscow Central Circle (MCC), a city railroad integrated into the metro structure. In 2019, traffic began on the first two Moscow central diameters: MCD-1 "Belorussko-Savelovsky" (Odintsovo - Lobnya) and MCD-2 "Kursk-Rizhsky" (Nakhabino - Podolsk). The MCD system is being created on the basis of the existing infrastructure of the Moscow railway junction.
