Krasnoyarsk
Krasnoyarsk is the administrative center of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. During the Great Patriotic War, Krasnoyarsk became the large industrial center of the Eastern Siberia, one of the new industrial arsenals of the country. Equipment from 25 large plants and factories with 30 thousand workers arrived to the city. At the same time, large defense enterprises appeared in Krasnoyarsk – “Kraslesmash”,” Sibtyazhmash”, KrasTETs, Combine Plant, Krasnoyarsk Radio Engineering Plant, “Yenisei” Chemical Plant, Cement Plant, and “Kvant” Plant. During the war, 26 thousand guns of various systems, more than 5 thousand mortars, 220 thousand large aerial bombs, 3500 sea mines were released in the city.
