Volunteer formations of Russia

Today, more than 40 volunteer formations have already been formed in Russia, which perform tasks in the military sphere in the zone of special military operation (SVO). Along with units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, volunteer formations successfully perform tasks on the line of combat contact. This speaks of the high consolidation of Russian society, of the desire of citizens to make a personal contribution to achieving a common victory.
A citizen of the Russian Federation who has not received a summons may voluntarily be called up as a serviceman or participate in an SVO as part of a volunteer detachment. The regional administration provides members of the volunteer detachment with the payment of content comparable to the monetary allowance of military personnel. Upon joining volunteer units, a contract is concluded for a period of 3 months or more. 
Volunteers can be:
• men under the age of 60 - citizens of the Russian Federation;
• having experience in military service (past training camps )/shooting sports or work in a security department/membership in a hunting public organization or Cossack society.
Recruitment of volunteers is carried out through local military registration and enlistment offices and mobile selection points for military service under a contract.
