Beloyarsk NPP (Nuclear Power Plant)
Beloyarsk NPP was the first large-scale NPP in the country’s nuclear power industry, and the first one which featured different types of nuclear reactors. Beloyarsk NPP is the only NPP in the world with a BN-600 fast-neutron reactor (Power Unit No.3). Fast breeder reactors are designed to expand the fuel capacity of nuclear power generation considerably and reduce the volume of nuclear wastes by having a closed nuclear fuel cycle.
