Rostov NPP (Nuclear Power Plant)
Rostov NPP is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk reservoir, 13.5 km away from Volgodonsk. Rostov NPP is one of the major enterprises of the energy sector in Southern Russia. The plant accounts for 15 % of the total electricity generation in this part of the country. Power unit No.2 was put in operation on March 16, 2010. Power startup of power unit No.3 took place on November 14, 2014.
